Visitor Services
In 2024, the Port Hardy Heritage Society took on an exciting new opportunity to run visitor services. We now operate from two locations: the Port Hardy Visitor Information Centre, 7250 Market Street, and the Port Hardy Museum and Archives, 7110 Market Street.
We have knowledgeable staff who are experts in the area who can help you plan your trip on the North Island. From hikes to whale watching, to learning about local heritage and enjoying local cuisine, the Visitor Centre can help you tailor your trip and start your adventure!
The Visitor Centre now includes an Art Gallery and Gift Shop featuring local indigenous artists. To integrate heritage into the visitor experience, we have a temporary exhibit area with rotating exhibits in the summer months, previously featuring stories such as the Carrot Campaign.
